No problem! On this page we have put together a comprehensive information package on what products I need for gel polish/strengthening my own nails.

Gel polish as a service has changed rapidly. Originally, gel polish was very similar to normal nail polish, only it was cured with UV light. Back then, gel polishes didn't last terribly long, and the service began to take shape and develop.

The modern way of doing gel polish and the way I train and do my own clients' gel polish is very durable. My clients' gel polish stays beautiful, up to 5 weeks. Of course, durability is always a very individual thing and a professional understands what is realistic for each client.

As a trainer myself, I prefer to lightly strengthen the natural nail under the gel polish. On a strengthened nail, the gel polish stays better, and the natural nail cannot break or crumble underneath. Gel polish alone is rarely strengthening in itself, so a flexible base gel is needed underneath. Different manufacturers have different names for base gels, and all of these products in the Finnails selection are suitable for flexible strengthening of natural nails:

Both of these gels are perfect for strengthening natural nails and as a base gel under gel polishes and extensions . The clear rubber base is a great choice for natural nails and I choose one of these gels whenever I do any nail service. The flexible gel adapts to the movement of the natural nail and makes it more durable.

If you use gel polishes, you can build a beautiful shape directly with these clear rubber base products.

Tip: To get a beautiful shape for your nail, turn your client's finger downwards for a moment before curing the gel. This way, gravity will shape the nail for you and the gel will not run down the nail bed.

Remember to always choose the series' own primer under the gel. So if you use NAILS Cosmetics, choose their primer and the same with Hey products. You can find all primers in the liquids category.

Clear Rubber Base Gels

In addition to Rubber Base gels, you also need gel polishes or, for example, Tinted base gels, Finnails trainer Silja's favorite products.

Only one coat of tinted base gel is enough. They are thicker in consistency and, unlike traditional gel polishes, provide support and structure to the nail !

Every nail professional knows how slow and challenging it can be to apply gel polishes, especially light colors.

The thicker consistency of the Tinted base gel ensures that it always applies beautifully to the nail. It is suitable for more experienced and beginner nail professionals. In addition to easier application, you will work faster as there are fewer layers and steps to apply. Less service time = more profit and more customers ❤️

In the selection of tinted base gels, you will find gorgeous, modern shades that you can easily use to create, for example, Lipgloss-style nails.

Tinted base gels should be under a thin layer of clear Rubber base gel to ensure optimal durability.
